Answer
Hi SK!...There are adhesives available for this type of repair, from companies such as Norton, 3M, and Pro Form, to do it properly...Unfortunately, the cost to repair your mirror housing properly, will outweigh the cost of replacement...First of all, the cost of the adhesive, is around 60 Dollars...You will also need the dispensing gun...Another 100 Dollars...You will then need to disassemble the mirror assembly, as to get access to the inside of the casing, and " V Groove " where the pieces need to be re-attatched and aligned...Once this is done, the adhesive is applied...This is structural...On the outside, this is a cosmetic repair...The same procedure is required...Finally, after this is done, there is sanding, priming, and painting...These are the steps for a proper repair...My advice, would be to check your local Auto Wreckers, and pick up a used mirror...Just remember, that a used part is generally 1/2 the price of a new part..Hope this helps...Dave
