Auto body repair & detailing: Dodge Stratus R/T 2004 Door bent backwords, dodge stratus, ballpark figure

Question
I popped i guess the hinge in my car door backing up with the garbage one night and not realizing the door was stuck on my roomates car. So it just swings open but did not bend backwords or anything. So the real trouble...I was on the side of the highway due to a flat to start. To add to the wonderful start as I opened the door to fix it a huge truck comes by and the wind takes the door and officially bends it backwords. To my horror no less. So now the door shuts still, which is a blessing, but the front panel is bent in ans well as a dent where the door actually hit. I need to fix it so i can sell it with all the other problems I have with the car. How much would an estimate be round abouts? Should i claim it under insurance? Or [ay out of pocket or just try and trade it in as is even though i still owe about 9g on it?

Answer
Amie, Your doors play a major roll in the safety of your car and it's riders.Nothing to play with
and any person buying a car would want them to work properly. If you still owe that much and have
the coverage I would definitely consider the repairs. As far as the cost, shops vary. But a general
ballpark figure from what you described could go anywhere from 800.00to as much as 1200.00  with
a door and fender replacement,It's a little hard to say, Sight unseen but I hope This helps you.
