Auto body repair & detailing: Cracking fiberglass, fiberglass repair, going through the motions

What can you do to stop painted fiberglass from cracking more? Put body kit on 2000 Celica. It is cracking is there anyway we can stop it from cracking more? Worked many hours on this and there were no cracks. Any ideas other than starting over.

all you can do is fix it. There's no magic bullet for repairing cracks without actually going through the motions of fixing the parts. You can try backing the parts up from behind with some fiberglass repair mat and gel, but by the time you take the parts off and fool with it, you might as well fix and paint them.
