Auto body repair & detailing: clearcoating, paint manufacturer, orangepeel

Question
Kim,
I am a true amateur and last summer I painted my old pickup with a basecoat and then clearcoated it just like the instructions said. Overall I am pretty proud of my efforts. However I have some orangepeel in spots. Is it too late to wet sand and reapply a clearcoat or what should I do now?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Tom,
There are a  couple of ways to solve your orange peel problem. Without knowing the product line that you have used I will answer your question as best I can.
The first way  is to polish out the orange peel.Lots of videos on u tube to give you a good idea as to how to go about this.
The second way is to respray-You will have to wet sand the orange peel out and reclear . Prep the complete panel for clear using P 2000. Check with the paint manufacturer for their recomendation as to sand paper they would like you to use.
Hope this helps and let me know if any of this info helps you...Thankyou....................

 Regards
  Kim
