Auto body repair & detailing: cracked frame rail 96 s-dime, frame rail, frame damage

Question
I have a 1996 Chevy s-10 4x4 with around 130000 miles on it. When i got under it to do some work i noticed that the frame is cracked about half way around, the bottom and half way up each side. This is right behind the front suspension on the passenger frame rail when it makes the downward bend. Is this fixable? if so how would you recomend doing it?
Thank a ton,
ben

Answer
This is not considered repairable. It's incredibly odd to have a crack in this area, leading me to believe that it's had an improper frame repair at some point- it was probably overheated, then quenched with water. Both are big no-no's when repairing frames. Any frame damage behind the front suspension cannot be safely repaired, the truck should be removed from service IMMEDIATELY. the only safe repair, in my professional opinion, is to replace the frame.
