Auto body repair & detailing: S-10 cab corner holes, metal screws, auto parts stores

Question
I have a large hole on each side of my "94 S-10 truck behind each door back near the corner. I found some slightly extended cab corners on-line for S-10. I don't have a welder. Can the corners be attached with metal screws if you countersink the holes a bit using a punch? Also is there any paint on undercoat available in small cans to coat the back of the cab corners with prior to installation? Don

Answer
Don, if you are talking about the welded on cab corners that are factory installed; they must be welded. These are structural parts Don. My advice is do not cut off and screw on new ones. A professional should do the work. Based on your question Don, please turn over to a professional. Also, as for the undercoating; auto parts stores and Home Depot sell cans of rubberized undercoating. However, you will not need them if you are not doing this job. Hope all gets worked out Don. Great question.
