Auto body repair & detailing: Frame bent, alignment shop, dog track

Question
Thanks for you help .   1999 S-10 Blazer rear ended ,frame behind axle bent .was told by friends it did not have to be fixed unless it affected driving. what do you think?  Thanks again Danny

Answer
It's never good idea to not repair the frame when it is bent. If all the damage is outside of the wheel stance, then I suppose it will not hurt to drive it. Quite often, the damage will travel further up the rail where you would not expect it to be. Have someone follow you down the road to see if it might dog track. Is your steering wheel straight. Have it checked at an alignment shop just to be safe.
