Auto body repair & detailing: clearcoat, flake, tarp

Question
I have a 91 Volvo with the clearcoat starting to flake off the roof.  Is there something I can do to make it look any better.  I am looking for a cheap fix!

Sorry Serenity, we all want a cheap fix that looks great- but there is none here. About the best i can do, is tell you to pressure wash off as much clear as will come off, mask off the roof, tarp up the rest of the car, and clear coat with some high quality rattle can paint. Rustoleum used to make a great rattle can clear, but it will overspray everything in the garage. Just a warning. It will look okay from a distance, but look bad up close. bill
