Auto body repair & detailing: 1969 superbee, trunk lids, donor car

Question
I am working on a 1969 Superbee .  The rearend was rotted.  I took the back section from a 4 dr doner car,  bought two new quarter panels, and after alot of time and work,  The quarter panels fit good except the wheel house.  They act like they are wrong for the car, the wheel house likes approx. 3 inches on the top of it to go inside the quarter.  HELP   Thanks Randy

Answer
Randy, is there any way you can e-mail me pictures? Some folks post a link with their question.  What do you mean you took the back section from a donor car? How much of the back section did you put in? 2 door car and 4 door car rear sections sometimes have different lengths, proof of this is the fact the trunk lids are shorter. Did you totally chop the rear end floor, wheel houses, and unibody rails out of the donor car, in front of the wheels and into the passenger compartment? Was all this setting on jack stands when you grafted it together? It sounds like you chopped out so much car that when you started putting it together, the body flexed, and the whole rear body floor pushed up into the body.  I need more info, and with that, I'm sure I can help.
