Auto body repair & detailing: rear door on 1997 F150, white lithium grease, pb blaster

Question
My left rear door will not open and I would like to try and fix it myself although I am not that handy as I'm disabled

Answer
A little lubrication should do the trick.Wedge the outer door panel away from the glass carefully.Spray some PB Blaster toward the latch soaking it thoroughly.Snap the inner and outer handles several times. This usually frees the latch. You can then spray the latch with white lithium grease to prevent this from happening in the future once the door is open. Also if you have power locks, open and close them several times, the vibration will help loosen things.
