Auto body repair & detailing: Salvage Price?, luck mark, collision insurance

Hi, I was recently in a head on collision and have no collision insurance, so I wanted to know how much my car would salvage for. I had someone come out and take a look at the car and he said the frame was bent and that it was totaled. here is the url to pictures i have taken of the car  http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4150085

I have only gotten a price from 1 place and they said (without looking at the car) they would only give me $100.

I am sorry about the loss of your vehicle. I know that salvage values can be quite low sometimes, especially with a vehicle such as a Neon. There are so many on the road, so many are involved in accidents, and they typically don't hold their value as well as some other cars. The relatively low resale value also make them an easy total loss, as the insurer will only pay so much to fix them. This all adds up to a ton of salvage Neons on the market, some with only slight damage and an abundance of usable parts remaining. I don't however think that $100 is that fair of an offer. I would mind you this is not my real area of expertise, but my common sense tells me to keep calling around. Have you considered repairing the car? You may be able to find a shop willing to do the repairs using aftermarket parts and cut all possible costs to get it back on the road. Just a thought, Good Luck! Mark
