Auto body repair & detailing: Damaged custom fiberglass front cover, 350z nissan, lambo doors

Question
I have a custom fiberglass front cover on my 350Z Nissan that was slightly damaged when I rolled into the curb. The damage resulted in crushing a small portion (4" long x 1" wide x 1" high) of the raised contour of the cover that outlines the entire front cover. How would you repair the damaged section.

Answer
fiberglass and angel hair.. anda lot of sanding. that is what they are made of. that is how you have to fix them . 1st grined out the damaged area so the new stuff has something to grab onto. fill it with the new fiberglass and hair. youcan pick it up at any parts store that sell body work stuff. fill it let it dry . sand it. to same shape. it will take time . be in no rush. the longer you take the better it will look. after you are done cover it with a finish coat of polyaster filler and sand it with 180 grit paper. the fiber glass you can sand with 80 grit paper.
after you sand the poly down. prime it and get it painted.
that is why we only install xeron body kits the are rubber and bend. i did my bros 350z with a complete kit and lambo doors. filled in the place were the handles where at with fiberglass.. good luck. and remember take you time  its like a model you 1st did
