Auto body repair & detailing: Rust pits, body filler, deep structure

Question
How can rust pitting in roof be repaired? The pits are not too deep (structure seems to be solid) but too deep to just paint over.

Answer
rust pitting can only be cured by sandblasting, then filled with a good body filler and then primed and painted.  The easy way is to sand over affected areas with 220 grit sand paper then putty with a quality putty like evercoat.  Let set 1 hr. then sand smooth with 80 grit. then go over with 220 grit. four coats of primer wait 24 hrs. sand primer smooth with 320 grit.  You are now ready to paint.  Hope this helps  write if you need more info.
