Auto body repair & detailing: service engine soon light came on, chevy metro, service engine soon light

Hi Jeron,
  My 2000 Chevy Metro has 50K on it. The service engine soon light came on a week ago. Brought to the shop, they disconnected the battery and reset the computer, the light went off. But it came back after a while.Although it drives fine, I am still worried about potential risk of any functionality that doesn't run correctly.
  Any help that you would be able to provide will be much apprieciated.

 Although I can't technically help with this, I would advise that you go back to the dealer and MAKE them check for a problem.  I have an '01 Tahoe myself and have had problems with the various dealers since I bought it.  They like to skip over and shrug off problems until you're out of warranty so they don't have to pick up the tab.  I recently had my whole rear axle go out and also the transmission within 3 months of that ($5500 total) and the vehicle isn't even 2 years old.  So my advice is put your foot down and get them to take care of the problem.  Even if it is minor, you never know what you might get stuck having to pay for.  Good luck.
