Auto Glass: 1994 taurus, FORD TAURUS GLASS

Question
Both rear side windows are closed, and wont open. When master switch is used I can hear window motors engage in the close motion but not in the open motion. Just purchased the car thought maybe their was a way to keep the windows from working for child safety.

Hi Lynn,


       Sounds like the window motor is bad or the window has come off track.

          
      If you want to see if this is the problem,  press the Down button on the window for 5 seconds from the master switch then go to that window and open the car door, with one hand on the inside of the glass and one on the outside push the glass down. If it moves at all its off track. If it does not move it is the motor.
