Auto Glass: 2110 suburban power windows, left windows, electrical problem

Question
I recently replaced the entire drivers window assy and it worked fine. Several months later the two drivers side windows refused to work at all. Given the new assy and the fact that two windows stopped at the same time I assumed the switch assy was at fault. I just put in a new factory switch assy and the two left windows are still not moving.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
George

Answer
Hi Georgeg,

I normally don't work on vehicles this new.  They are typically in warranty so the owner is usually taking it back to the dealer. So, assuming not much has changed since the 2006 Suburban model, I would say this definitely sounds like an electrical problem.  My expertise in this area is limited so I don't have a good answer.  You would be better off consulting someone that is more qualified than me.

On the other hand.  I have seen a similar problem on an older Trailblazer.  I believe the cause was a faulty ground wire.  You might give that a try first.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
