Automotive Plastics: Rear side marker/park light lens cover, tail light, adhesive

How do you remove plastic lens cover on the rear side marker,which is also the parking light? Car is a Chevy Malibu 2008,4cyl.

Hi Norman, Normally tail light lenses are joined to the housing with a strong adhesive called methylene chloride, which makes a virtually inseparable union. In extreme cases, not exactly  with this car I  have  made use of a rotary cutting tool (abrasive disc attached) and then repositioned lens using some of the above chemical.Thanks
