Question
Is there anyway to verify that the struts I have and the water pump are the original factory installed parts? I paid to have them replaced and I dont think they were replaced.  I am the original owner of the car [ 2000 CAMRY CE ]

    The best way to tell is by looking to see whether or not they look new.  If they are still dirty, then they are the old parts.  Replacement struts will have the maker's name on them.  If you replaced everything with Toyota parts then stamps and casting numbers aren't going to be useful.  Appearance and cleanliness are the best thing to go by.  The top of the strut uses a large self-locking nut; a new nut always comes with the strut, and it must be replaced.  Check that out, and look for tool marks on the fasteners on the water pump.  ALWAYS ask for the old parts when new ones are installed, it's the only way to be sure you're not being screwed over.  Sometimes they'll even give you old parts off another car, but that can be verified by comparing them to the replacements.
