Auto Parts: Remote, cold climates, stereo store

We just purchased a 2000 Rav4 and it doesn't have keyless remote.  Is this something that can be added easily without much expense.

    Oh, yeah.  You can buy a kit from any place that sells stereos and alarms.  Or you can just go to the stereo store and get them to install it for you.  Most aftermarket keyless remotes also incorporate an alarm.  If alarms aren't your thing (I hate them), they can rig it so the alarm can't go off.  You can also get remote-start along with it for not much more money.  If the car is an automatic, remote start is kind of handy in cold climates.
