Auto Parts: EGR Valve for 85 Voyager 2.6L, mitsubishi engine, voyager 2

Question
QUESTION: Another answer for this same valve suggested bypassing it. This might work for cars in certain areas but here in California, the EGR is required and, if it's not there or has been bypassed, the vehicle cannot be registered. I have an '85 Voyager with the 2.6L Mitsubishi engine and cannot locate an EGR valve anywhere and mine is not repairable: it's casing is broken. Where can I find one? What does one do?

ANSWER: Hi Don,

I have a few of those vehicles on my lot. Send me a photo of the part you need and I'll see if any of them here are decent. That's about the best suggestion I can offer.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.

QUESTION: Thanks for your reply! I wish I had heard from you a few days sooner as I finally located what is probably the only new EGR valve around for this engine. It was not cheap either and a used one would have probably sufficed but in the event that the new one doesn't work out, I'll contact you. This engine uses a rather large, dual diaphragm valve. Thanks again. Don

Answer
Hi Don,

Sorry about the delay dude, my computer has been down for almost a week and my IT guy just got everything back on today which is why I'm answering late questions.

You have our phone number now as well so in the event used will do, give us a call.
