Auto Parts: 1998 chevy venture MAP sensor wire location, blown head gaskets, chevy venture

Question
I recently had my blown head gaskets fixed on my 1998 Venture van(3.4L) and when the motor got put back together some wires were forgotten by the gentleman I paid to fix it. The last one is the Map sensor, I have the vacuum line connected but cannot for the life of me even find the wire to it. Can you tell me where it connects from so I can get an idea of where to look?

Answer
Hi Trina,

If I paid someone to install a component, that would include routing the sensor wires. I would close the hood and take it back to the goof who put it in and tell them to fix it.

I don't think, since you can't find the wire near the sensor, that I would be able to help you locate the connector without actually looking at the vehicle. Sorry, I wish I could help more.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
