Auto Parts: broken shift indicator cable, nylon cable, chevy silverado

1989 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 pick-up  with a broken shift indicator cable..Steps to replace the cable??? Thanks

Hi Nick,

Are you talking about the little nylon cable that moves the indicator on the dash? Because I'd think something like that would be pretty straight-forward. I don't offer assistance for replacement of parts in which a book would be a more definitive source.
