Hi, Our truck broke down and we are looking for a E prom computer do you know where to get it? we believe that is what we need to fix it it starts but will not keep funning like there is no fuel getting in

Hi Shawn,

First of all, ALL ECM's are EEPROM computers. Second "I believe that is what we need to fix it" just isn't good enough. Parts replacement is not a good way to have a problem diagnosed. You'll spend less $$$ having a pro look at it than you will replacing parts for the next six months till you come across a bad coil or something dumb like that.

If what you are really after is another computer for that vehicle, I'm certain I can help you there. I'll need to know your engine size and if it is a 4.3L, I'll need the Service Number (ID) from the top of the unit itself to match them up.

But keep in mind, our policy, as is standard in the recycling industry, is that we do not sell parts on a trial-and-error basis. So if you'd get the computer and it does not fix your problem, you'll have an extra. My advice would be to have it properly diagnosed BEFORE just buying replacement parts willy-nilly.
