Auto Parts: 1979 el camino instrament cluster swap, yellow pointer, instrument clusters

Thanks for the second try Fred.  My El Camino has the basic instrument cluster... Speedometer, that's all.

I am considering purchasing the instament cluster which includes the tach and guage cluster which was an available option at the time and for that year and which is readaly available either on e-bay or through vintage salvage yards.

Is the circut board in my el camino compatable to all of the several instrument clusters that were offered or do I need to pick up a circut board unique to the specific instrument panel I plan to purchase?

By looking at the interchange, my professional opinion would be that the two assemblies would be different.

If you have a service number off of the ones you have, I may be able to assist you more or if you just want the direct interchange for those parts. Round or rectangular? Red or Yellow pointer?
