Auto Parts: electromagnetic valve, vw fastback, ron wolff

Question
I am addressing my question to Mr. Ron Wolff. I have this problem with an
item called electromagnetic valve used in the deceleration mixture control
system for cars with automatic transmissions. It came off a 1968 vw fastback.
I have tried searching thrue the internet with ebay and google with no luck. I
have wrote to this site a week or two. Had a feedback from "Fred", stating that
his note don't go way back. So maybe this time I will try to direct my question
to you. Hope you don't mind... Is there another substitution to resolve my
probem? I was thinking maybe another related part or bypassing it somehow?
My part is just leaking gas from the two male connectors and on the cylinder
base. I tried to seal it with jb welder. But it didn't work. Any response or help
will be much appreciated. Any many thanks for having this site for everyone
to look at.

Answer
Hi Tony,

I have no clue who Mr. Ron Wolf is, but you won't find him if you keep writing to me. I apologize, but my notes still do not go back that far.

I'd like to help you, but even if I could, you have not given enough information about either the vehicle OR the problem for me to be any assistance.
