Car Alarms: command start issue, car alarm installation, valet mode

Question
I have an Autostart command start on my 2004 Venture.  The van had gone into some major servicing, which included engine removal.  My command start doesn't work.  Pressing any button on the key fob indicates a blue light, so obviously the battery is still in working order.  The van does has the blue blinking twice at a time, attached the front mirror, however nothing else works.  I take it, its not in valet mode, as it would be a solid light, right?  So what's the problem?  A switch?
