Car Alarms: 1998 mercury mystique alarm, mercury mystique, brown wires

Question
i bought a car from a used dealer around 2 yrs ago his son said they didnt have keyless entry thing so he bypassed it. so im to tie two brown wires together and it crunk i have tittle and all it is not stolen but now it just dont work no more i twist wires checked for corrosion nothing all dash light seem to work but when turn key to on wipers start but does not turn over ,there is a clicking comming from black box under dash (driver side) please help
