RV Repair: Class C is listing...., rear leaf spring, coil spring

Question
Hi Ron,

We bought a used 1991 Tioga Arrow, 24'last May. It has started listing to the left side. Seems to be getting worse. Is this a shock problem?

Thanks!
Tina

Answer
If it is listing when sitting still, this is not a shock problem but probably either a front coil spring but most probably a rear leaf spring that is sagging.  If it gets bad, have the rear left leaf spring re-arched at a truck repair shop (they usually have rearching equipment). Have someone measure the distance from the ground to both sides of your rear bumper to see what the list amount is.
