Car Alarms: viper alarm has disabled my vehicle, viper alarm system, ford expedition

A few months ago i bought a 2000 Ford Expedition that came with a viper alarm system. Now within the last 2 days we are having problems getting the vehicle to start, the alarm system is somehow shutting the whole vehicle down...the theft light blinks for a minute then everything is unusable. Can u please explain in detail how i can possibly either fix this or totally disable the alarm? Thank you in advance.
