Car Alarms: Magic anti-start car system, stearing wheel, grand marquis

Question
my mom has a 94 grand marquis when bought they installed an anti-start security system in the car. you have to pass a little square type thing that has some sort of microchip in it. when the chip passes a certain spot under the stearing wheel it'll beep after start the car as usual. until the chip beeps its ready, if not the car wont turn over and start.. the other day it stopped beeping therefore not allowing her to turn the car on. is there any way to turn that off or over ride it allowing her to start the car again?

Answer
You need to extract the Magic kit.
I suggest you go to www.wirewerx.com and get
the wiring chart for the vehicle, then remove
the system wire by wire and repair it.

That would be the only way to start it without
the use of the Magic "key".

Good luck.
