Car Alarms: Viper Alarm System, alarmtek, fcc id

So my fiance is deployed right now and I am taking care of his truck. F250 Turbo Diesel. ALL buttons on the remote work but the unlock button, (i.e. The remote start, Lock button, and alarm button to an extent) The unlock button will NOT unlock the truck... I can unlock it using the key but the alarm goes off and will NOT turn off when I hit the alarm button unless I shut the door and lock it then hit the alarm button.
I am not able to call viper tech to have them walk me through this or help due to the lack of a phone.

The alarm he has on his truck is an after market alarm.
