Car Alarms: car alarm, site search engine, black key

Question
I recently bought a 1995 Hyundai and noticed a black key like fixture next to the right side of the steering column. One of my friends messed with this key like fixture and obviously broke it. Now I have a flashing red led light and the car won't start. A sticker on the window says prestige security system. When I disconnect the battery and reconnect within about 30 seconds I can start my car. What can I do? I don't have any info on what model the system is?
