Car Alarms: Alarm, ac condenser, alarmtek

Question
My mechanic replaced a AC condenser yesterday since then my alarm has been sirening off every 25 mins or so. I am unable to reset alarm using the valet button (in other words it won't stay solid) as opposed to spending 100.00 for my alarm specialist in the area, do you have any advice.

Thanks.

Answer
Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not, look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.

Wish I could offer more here, but short of locating
the alarm brain under the dash cavity, unplugging it
and repairing the wiring, that would be the option.

Make certain they charge less then 100. to remove it.
It's not worth 100. in labor to simply just
unplug and repair the starter wire. :>(

50 bucks, no more! (Thanks for the kind ratings!)
