Car Alarms: 2002 Chevy Camaro, chevy camaro, passlock

My son took my car last night and stopped to get gas. He said he left the key in the ignition his friend was listening to the stereo and I'm not sure what they did but when they tried to start the car lights came on but nothing happened. The security light flashes and the word LOC is on the stereo, Can you tell me what I need to do we had to tow the car home last night?

Unfotunately, this vehicle is in long tamper mode.
Could be due to a bad battery or, the wrong key
was used in the ignition. Either way,
GM will need to reset it. If they tell you that
you will need to replace things, then you can bypass
the whole system with the right bypass kit.

But start with GM and price it out.
Tell service you need the PASSLOCK/VATS reset
and see what they come back with.
