Car Alarms: Carbine plus alarm, car wont do anything, amp fuse, flip switch

Question
My wife has a carbine plus alarm installed on her 97 saturn S-series and the alarm system is directly wired to the battery. I replaced her battery and then the car had problems starting (actually nothing happened at all like the battery was dead). we figured out that it would start if we jiggled the wire where it connects to the terminal. so i replaced the wire with a slightly smaller guage. when i was reataching the battery terminal the wrench touched the car and sparked. car wouldn't start again. while i was looking at the wires i did notice an in line 30 amp fuse that was burned out i replaced it but the car still won't start or do anything at all we flipped the valet switch under the dash but that doesn't help. There is power going from the battery to past the fuse i replace and the battery is good.

Answer
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.
