Car Alarms: keyless entry install on 1995 Camry, pin switch, door locks

Question
QUESTION: I am installing a "commando KE-30" keyless entry on a 1995 Camry. Have it all hooked up but have on problem. The keyfob remote will lock the doors but not unlock them. When you press the unlock button you can hear the locks cycle but they all remain locked. You can use the unlock button in the car and it will unlock them but not the remote. I have hooked up the wires where specified, with one possible exception. The unlock wire is supposed to tie in to a light green/red wire but there is none. I hooked into the light green/brown. Is there something I might be missing?

ANSWER: Re do it.

See 3 wire negative type door lock,
and the wires you are on are incorrect:

POWER LOCK|blue/white |-| in passengers kick in the blue plug
POWER UNLOCK|lt. green/red |-| in passengers kick in the blue plug

Try that instead, and Happy New Year!

QUESTION: Ok,I did that and I thought we had it solved- doors locked and unlocked no problem. ran it severl times working great. Found out that once you shut the door (close pin switch on door) it wont unlock. Then you have to put key in the ignition turn to on then back off to reset the door lock switches. Something is going on so that when the pin switch for the doors closes the lock wont unlock. Thanks.

Answer
Child safety door locks.
There is a BLUE/RED OR BLUE/GREEN wire in the same plug.
Bridge a wire from the unlock on the keyless
system to also pulse the blue/red.

That should allow you to disable that
system too.

Other data suggests:
Lock L GREEN BLUE @ 20 PIN CONNECTOR
Unlock D GREEN IN THE DRIVER KICK PANEL

Child Safety Locks- BLUE/RED At
Pin #9 In Same Connector As Door Lock Wires Above.

Try it, then locate the CS wire and simply ground it to the frame.
