Car Alarms: removing aftermarket alarm, replacement remotes, transmitter programming

Question
I have a 2001 Tahoe that I recently purchased. I removed the aftermarket alarm (Crimestopper SP-100) with unlock/lock feature on the key FOB. I cannot get my original key FOB to reprogram. In the alarm installation guide it says to cut the wire between 87A and 30. I believe this could be the problem. Where can I find this to see if the wire is cut. I have followed the reprograming instructions for my key FOB, but it will not work. Thank You!!
