Car Alarms: car will not start because of viper alarm, charging car battery, keyless entry systems

Question
We have a Mitsubishi 2000 Gallant that has a viper alarm from that era. The car battery died & after removing & charging car battery, the alarm goes off & will not allow car to start. How do I disengage the alarm so car will start. We purchased the car used & have no manuals or info about it. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
