Car Alarms: Dealer Alarm, infinity qx4, security light

Ok, thanks for the chance to ask here.
I bought a car from the dealer and did not take the alarm. They put the "plug" in it and no big deal. Now the car is not starting and seems that the alarm system might still be engaged, as the security light is still blinking when in the vehicle and keyed on. Will crank over but will not start, like no fuel or such.
I ask because I noticed that when I hit unlock on remote and totally unlock car, the red security light went out and then vehicle (03 Infinity QX4) started right up.
So, could alarm still be engaged and not allow vehicle to start?
And can I remove the dealer installed components and simply have a harness or splices to fix?
I should have looked for install but wanted to ask first and proceed.

Call the dealer for an explaination if you selected not to take the alarm.
It's likely they simply did not give you the remotes to control
it. Lazy. They can now either do so, or remove and repair the wiring as
you originally asked.

It happens all the time. :>(
