Car Alarms: remote starter, honda accord coupe, remote starter

I have a 2005 honda accord coupe. The remote starter always worked great, but now when I try to start, the trunk opens and the car don,t start. I recently replaced the battery. Don,t know if this is related.  HELP PLEASE. can,t find anything in the owners manual
