Car Alarms: instructions for Falcon PATTX3UTEK, scion xb, valet mode

Question
Hi.  I recently bought a used 2005 Scion xB that had an aftermarket alarm.  The fob has a stylized "f" on it, and one fob has FCD ID PATTX3UTEK on the back (the other warn off).  I've searched the net high and low for a manual with no luck.  I'd like a manual so I know how to operate it, its capabilities, and to know how it is (or should be) wired.

I had the car in the shop for maintenance, and now the alarm doesn't arm.  The LED on the dash stays steady on.  The mechanic thinks it is in valet mode.  One gentleman I spoke to recommended finding some kind of deactivation switch and pressing it 3x to go into and out of valet mode.  Can you confirm?

Also, the mechanic will be replacing my car battery today.  Are there any necessary steps for setting up the alarm after a battery replacement?

Thanks! (in advance)
