Car Alarms: Viper 5900 Lockout, pep boys, sending signals

Question
I was driving on the highway the other day and I thought I saw my gauges flicker (drop and come back on) real quick out of the corner of my eye but thought nothing of it. Then, about one minute later, my 1999 Pont. Bonnevile shut off while driving. I put it in neutral, and tried to start it but had no luck. I pulled over to start it, and it didn't respond. My Radio, blower for a/c and accessories work, but when I turn the key to "ON" the fuel pump and gauges (normally come on here) I get no response. I reluctantly had the car towed to Pep Boys and they tested the ignition and said it was sending signals from all positions, so the key/ ignition is good. I CAN remote start the car but I cannot keep it running once I use the brake. Its as if the Viper brain blocks the key signal to the ECU. Pep Boys said they were unsure what it was b/c of their lack of aftermarket electronic knowledge but I will have the car brought back to Best Buy to have the Autotech guy look at it. The original installer from BBY is living out of state now. Have you come across anything like this???
