Car Alarms: Maxima alarm problem, nissan maxima, factory spec

Question
Hi I have a 1999 Nissan maxima that was recently broken into by smashing the window. They tried using a screwdriver as a key to start the car. They must have been scared off leaving the tool. After working the bent metal dust flap out of the keyhole I was able to get the key in and start the car until the alarm system shut it down.My question is there something electrical on the ignition itself that may have been damaged could cause the security light to blink. And what looks like the door open  buzzer is on the floor with three wires disconected.Could that also be the problem. Thanks Greg

Answer
Yes. This all needs to be repaired/replaced back to factory
spec. The tumbler is shot. Also, this car has a transponder
and it may too be damaged. All of which points to professional,
factory parts repair.

Seriously, have this repaired soon or, trouble is sure to pop up
& keep you from starting it.

Good luck.
