Car Alarms: 1998 Honda alarm system, honda accord, vin number

does the 1998 Honda Accord alarm system have a security code that the owner sets in order to alarm the car. The dealer is telling me that they can't start the car because they never got the security code from the previous owner.

if talking about the removal of the radio,
then yes, contact Honda using the vin number to enter that code.
if it's some sort of after market "button" coded thing,
remove it because there is no way of knowing what that
code could be and you can simply remove
and repair it.
