Car Alarms: CodeAlarm just started out of the blue, valet mode, dash area

Question
QUESTION: I bought a 93 Camry and Feb 09 and never had a problem with it. All of a sudden I went to start the car and it wouldn't start like it had a kill switch or something. After looking under the driver side dash I found a Code Alarm box and the head and taillightsflashing. This car had an alarm all this time but never activated. Now it has and I can't start my car. How can I fix this problem? I need my car to get to work.

ANSWER: Ok, an installer would place the velet switch in a semi
hidden area. I'd look under the dash area
for a button or, a toggle switch. With Code Alarms,
the LED and the valet switch may be one in the same.

When you locate it,
turn on the ignition key, press and hold in the
button (little spring loaded micro button, red or
black possibly), until the alarm chirps 1 time.
This should over ride the system, and only the
keyless entry part, if installed, would still be
operating.

The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.

The next step is if wanting to remove it,
you contact a local technician to
locate it, and affect neccesary service
for you.

That should solve the troubles.

Let me know what you discover.

QUESTION: Thanks for the quick response! Unfortunately, I am unable to locate the button you reference to. I am under the dash and I see the box and also a remote starter box that I assume is no longer activated. Is it possible that this switch may be located elsewhere like under the hood or in the glove box?

ANSWER: Look at the blinking LED in the dash.
With Code Alarms
It should also be the spring loaded valet switch.

QUESTION: There is an LED light on the dash but it is not blinking nor is it the pushable type. It just sits on the dash and has never ever lit up. Even when the head and tail lights blink now, it still does nothing. I appreciate your help in this matter and it is dark now and I may have to ride my bike to work even though it's supposed to rain here in Orlando all week. Man I wish you were here to help me!

REPAIR STARTER WIRE
Then yo will simply have to remove the starter kill
relay inline and repair.

On the BLCK/WITE wire in the ignition you find
the work done by the installer (see attached pic)
Locate this relay and apply the diagram to get the
car started and make the alarm inert.
