Car Alarms: Tripped Aftermaket alarm Help, flip switch, start the car

Question
I have a 95 camaro, I just bought the car a week ago from an individual, there was a coded key and door lock key, no keypad. Last night we were replacing the battery, not realizing that once the cables were back on that it would set the alarm off. It makes only a clicking sound and like the lights are on sound. The inside and outside lights flash. We found what we thought was the switch and the only result we have had after trying the key in door, and anything else I could find listed that worked for others, with ignition on and holding the switch for a few seconds it will stop, but once the car has been turned off the doors lock and the lights and sounds begin again when touched. I don't know the name of the alarm , we cant even find where anything to the alarm is except the little red light on my console and the button under the dash. I need help please, does anyone know how to reset ?
Thank you so much in advance!

Answer
Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

KEY ON JUST BEFORE CRANKING ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.
KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
