Car Alarms: Excalibur which replacement remote ?, true expert, rav4

I just bought a rav4 with a Excalibur AL1000E alarm installed but the remote the previous owner said "may or may not belong to the car" doesn't work (it has K9 Classic written on it)Tried replacing battery, reprogramming the alarm to it all with no success, so I guess I need a new remote. Been looking and don't know how to select the right one. The alarm case has a small sticker on it with "OK4E" and apart from that doesn't appear to have any other markings
How do I select the right one that has the right frequency etc for it to work without having the old one to know the circuit board number.
Please help, I live in Costa Rica and true "expert advice" is some what hard to come by down here !!

to write to my OMEGA Alarm (CARALARM.COM)
technician at scadss@tmail.com and see if
he can assist you with this issue.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
