Car Alarms: Alarm goes off and wont allow me to start car, keyless entry systems, fcc id

Hi. I have the Auto Mate Fcc ID-EZSDEI474V remote. It was already installed on the car when I bought it used a little over a year ago. Today when I left work and put the key in the igntion, the alarm went off and I pushed all the remotes separately and together but nothing worked. The car would not start. When the alarm stopped 30 seconds later, I tried again but the same thing happened. The alarm has never gone off since I had the car. It was after hours so I couldn't reach anyone and every dealer had already closed. My car is still at work. A user manual did not come with the car. Please help!!
