Car Alarms: 1998 Honda Accord Factory Alarm, alarmtek, honda accord ex

Here is my scenario:

I just put a new battery in my car (first time in like 3 months), it has not been driven since then. When I put the battery in it makes a loud noise with the horn but the car powers on (basically saying if I were to drive the car down the street the alarm would still go off). How can I disable the alarm? It is a 1998 Honda Accord EX 4 door, 6 cylinder. I can't even put my battery on all the way without it making the sound!! Another thing, driver window is broken, do you think it could have something to do with that and if so how can I just disband the damned thing?? lol thanks a bunch!!

Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
