Car Alarms: disable alarm for 2002 montero, alarmtek, dash area

Question
I have only 1 key to my vehicle. I recently lost my remote entry/alarm tag. My keys got locked into my vehicle.My husband had to pry open the door to unlock it and retrieve my keys. My alarm was set and now my alarm will not go off and I don't have the tag to stop it. We had to disconnect the battery to stop the alarm from sounding. Is there a way to disconnect the alarm system without the remote?

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
